Privacy Policy for Instant HDR

This Privacy Policy explains how Instant HDR (“we,”  “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Instant HDR mobile application, website, and related services (the “Service”).

1. Summary

Instant HDR is designed to process photos locally on your device.

We do not collect or store your photos on our servers for HDR conversion.

We do not sell personal data.

2. Photos and photo library access

Instant HDR requests access to your photo library only so you can:

  • choose a photo for HDR conversion
  • save the converted HDR JPEG back to your photo library

Your photos remain on your device unless you choose to share or upload them yourself outside the app.

3. Data we do not collect for photo conversion

We do not upload your photos to our servers for HDR processing.

We do not maintain a remote photo-processing database of your images.

4. Subscription and purchase information

If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled by Apple through the App Store.

We do not receive your full payment card details.

We may receive limited subscription status information from Apple that is necessary to determine whether premium features should be available.

5. Analytics and tracking

As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, Instant HDR does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track users across apps or websites for advertising purposes.

If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, request any necessary permissions.

6. Device permissions

The app may request permission to access:

  • your photo library, to select and save images

The app does not require account creation or login to use its core functionality.

7. Data retention

Because image processing is intended to happen locally on your device, we generally do not retain your selected or exported photos on our servers.

If you contact us for support, we may retain the information you voluntarily send us, such as your email address and the contents of your message, for customer support and troubleshooting.

8. Children's privacy

Instant HDR is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Third-party services

The Service may rely on third-party platform services, such as:

  • Apple App Store
  • Apple In-App Purchases / StoreKit
  • Apple Photos framework

Those third parties may process information under their own privacy policies and terms.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information we receive, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

11. International users

If you use the Service outside the United States, you understand that information you voluntarily provide to us, such as support emails, may be processed in the United States or other jurisdictions.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
